As I get closer to 50 years of age I'm finding the frightening realization that more and more everyday I find myself uttering "...those damn kids..." or " I truly weep for the future". Ok its not that bad but I do find myself not understanding what the youth of today is saying. I'm not sure if the vernacular of today's youth is based on region, social status or.....seriously I don't know. Although pI phrase I'm very well comfortable with is "there's an app for that".
So today I am launching my fictional app called "Say What". This is an app for those of us that tend to be over the age of 40 that have no idea what the youth of today is saying. As we move towards an era of internet immersion as well as social media immersion( side note: social media immersion is for the most part an oxymoron for the reason that more and more of the population seems that social interaction is done through man electronic device done in total privacy...away from other people. That doesn't sit right with me but I digress) more and more people are speaking to one another in slang terms that I assume were meant for texting and or internet use only. Recently I heard someone say something to the affect that they wen to a gathering and said " I got so turnt at that party last night". As I was listening to the conversation progress, I heard of one of the young ladies say " Yo girl, when you showed up wit yo Bae, you was lookin so good. Yo eye brows were on fleek". I was so confused. Now if my app was up and running I would have held up my phone to record the conversation then I would have realized thta young lady A told young lady B that when she showed up with boyfriend, her appearance was pleasing to others and that her eyebrows were the highlight of her appearance. The Say What app will have to be on a perpetual state of updating its algorithms in order to understand when someone says "YAAAS, Doe they aint be perfect fo each other, they both be rekt, they is totally ship" Those terms were rated some of the top slang phrases of 2015 by theodysseyonline.com/uta/23. If you wanty to understand that phrase, download Say What!!
P.S. Im sure an app of this form or fashion already exists, so hold off on the lawsuits

The Story So Far.....
At the age of 13 I knew I was going to be a professional actor for the rest of my life yet as so many people say "God laughs while Man makes plans". At the age of 45 when people ask me what I am and what I do is not so quite of an easy answer given to a simple question. I am still an actor, a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard for almost a decade, well trained in the hotel industry and a very well seasoned truck driver with over 1,000,000 miles driven throughout all 50 United States. Now I am working on my degree in Audio Production as well as an Audio/Visual Tech at the brand new Crazy Girls Cabaret inside of Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV.
Many people might say that not one of those professions has anything to do with the other. On the contrary all of those previous professions have and will continue to feed and inspire my new chosen profession as an Audio Engineer. I have been around the world literally and metaphorically a few times. I have chosen to make all of these experiences to become a treasure trove of sorts when it comes to networking with other Audio professionals. My military and professional trucking careers have made me the type of person that can operate totally independent or as an effective team member. My travels and experiences have made it incredibly easy to identify with just about anyone from all walks of life. This is the story so far, and the adventure has just begun!!
